Confidential briefing from Yuri, soon-to-be Leader of the Entire Earth:

Your confident and eager thoughts come as no surprise to me, Commander. You can see the future of this planet nearly as well as I can. However, it disappoints me to see the uncertainty in your mind concerning how we will counter the new strategies of the Allies and Soviets. Surely you know that we cannot be stopped? Because you have been so valuable to me in the past, I will take this time to reassure you by sharing my plans:

Yuri Construction Yard  Yuri Construction Yard
Our Construction Yard receives a 50% increase in strength, to make it even more impossible for our weak-minded enemies to destroy. Top of Page

Yuri Base Expansion Node  Yuri Base Expansion Node - New Building!
I have provided you with another tool to extend our domination - the Base Expansion Node. Like a Construction Yard, this structure cannot be built, instead it must be deployed from a Base Expansion Vehicle. This building has no abilities beyond the fact that you can build other structures adjacent to it. The Expansion Vehicle it deploys from is a smaller version of our MCV, and costs half what an MCV does. The Expansion Node building takes up very little space, so you can use it in places where normal MCVs cannot deploy.

You will find this structure to be very useful for establishing bases close to the front lines, and for placing defenses at strategic locations throughout the battlefield. But be aware that the Expansion Vehicle can only be deployed ONCE. Once deployed, the Expansion Node building CANNOT be repacked. Be very sure your Expansion Vehicle is where you want it to be when you give the order to deploy, since you won't get a second chance.

Note: The Yuri Base Expansion Vehicle, and the Yuri Base Expansion Node, are only available in multiplayer/skirmish games.

Bio Reactor  Bio Reactor
As a tribute to my foresight, our powerful Bio Reactors are in no need of any improvements. Top of Page

Yuri Barracks  Yuri Barracks
The training center for our dedicated followers should continue to serve us well in its current state, as I believe you already know. Top of Page

Slave Miner  Slave Miner
Our Slave Miner now self-heals at all times, even when deployed. Further, our enslavement process now creates Slaves that are immune to radiation. Curiously, this change seems also to have very slightly increased the amount of time it takes for a Slave to fill his shovel... I am having our mining bosses employ more stringent discipline to correct this.

Also, as described in the Vehicles portion of this briefing, the Slave Miner is not promotable, and is explosive when destroyed. But, it is when the miner is in its deployed state that the explosive effect is violent indeed. While the explosion should not be too damaging to nearby buildings, it will prove deadly to any infantry or vehicle in proximity. Be sure to remain on guard and defend our miners to prevent their destruction.

New effects: Yellow smoke is released from the refinery smokestacks when a slave delivers ore; and when destroyed, the refinery will scatter ore debris in the vicinity. Top of Page

Yuri War Factory  Yuri War Factory
In addition to the fearsome war machines this factory already produces, our War Factories also are where we build our Hover Transports now, so that we will have use of them even on battlefields which do not afford the opportunity to build naval forces. Top of Page

Grinder  Grinder
Again, it is obvious to even the most obtuse mind that this is a structure that needs no improvements. Top of Page

Yuri Shipyard  Yuri Shipyard
To go along with our newly-expanded navy, we now refer to our naval yard as a Shipyard rather than merely a Sub Pen. More significantly, I have also redesigned our Shipyard to perform repair and refit chores in record time and for a pittance in cost. How did I accomplish this? Simplicity itself: Our enemies have figured out how to improve their naval production structures in this manner, and by definition, everything they know, I know.

I am sad to say that in adopting the designs of our enemies we have also adopted their weakness as well: Our Shipyards have become vulnerable to superweapon attacks. Top of Page

Psychic RadarPsychic Reveal  Psychic Radar
Our Psychic Radar has always been a building of high strategic importance. Giving us Radar, Psychic Reveal, and psychic sensors made it a structure which our enemies always sought to target. Furthermore, expanding sensor coverage required the building of additional Radar structures, which was wasteful. For these reasons, I have determined that removal of the psychic sensor capability from our Psychic Radar building is a wise strategic move. This capability has been assigned to our Psychic Towers instead. Top of Page

Yuri Battle LabForce Shield  Yuri Battle Lab
As you are aware, most of our buildings were superior to our enemies' all along, and will continue to be. The Battle Lab is such a building, since it is the source of our unique technology, and the generator of the Force Shield effect. Therefore, no improvements are needed here.

Graphical enhancement: An updated build option icon. Top of Page

Cloning Vats  Cloning Vats
I have put our Engineers to work on revamping our Cloning Vats, incorporating modern, superior components, and bringing their architectural design into line with the rest of our base structures. In a single stroke, these design revisions have swept away the last vestiges of the outdated and inefficient Soviet technology.

Now, we are using a new chemical composition for our cloning fluids. This happily allows Slave Miners to produce rad-immune Slaves, but you should be aware that there is a drawback to this formula. Should your Cloning Vats be destroyed, they will explode violently, killing all infantry nearby and possibly severely damaging vehicles as well. Further, a corrosive gas will be released which is very deadly to infantry and somewhat damaging to vehicles that it comes into contact with. Be very careful to defend your Vats, and if they are destroyed, stay clear of the cloning gas until it dissipates.

New features: New building graphics, a new build option icon, and damaged Cloning Vats will release blue smoke.

Note: The Cloning Vats move from the armory build tab to the regular building tab, which is where it was in RA2.

Creating an advanced base such as I've described is pointless if we cannot defend it. As you have anticipated, it is time to discuss our Yuri Armory.
