not addition mod
Yeah balance of power isn't an addition mod. The bev shouldn't be in it. Keep it in br only.

BEV
Personally, I think they should be allowed.
I don't see them as a unnecessary addition, but as a balance to all sides: it helps decentralize your base, lessening the probability a battle
will knock you out of the game.
They also help with getting base defense spread around, not having to build a enormous army of power generators to get your base covered, as
well as allowing you to get ore/factory's out in the field.

Base Expansion Argument
The BEV should DEFINITELY be in Balance of Power. The BEV's are not useless/extra additions, but it helps a base to expand throughout the
battlefield. It doesn't make CannisRules an "add everything we can" mod just by helping the three sides in expanding their base.

Yeah
I agree with these two guys before me, the BEVs should be allowed in Balance of Power. As they said, it helps a lot with base expansion (as
it should) and lets you spread out your defenses to put them in a better position. Removing them would be bad mistake.

BEV
Base expansion vehicles are such a genial idea that I can't live any further without them, their usefulness is unlimited but there is a
question you have to ask yourself Mr. Rabidus:
Do you want to really keep BoP and BR 2 separate issues?
Do you want to just improve yuri's revenge in BoP and put your (unquestionably PERFECT) ideas on BR?
Answer my question and you will find your poll useless.
Again, thx for your efforts on improving your mod and thinking of new ideas to make it even better (I really can't understand for the life of
me, where you get such a "gaming wisdom", maybe you are 4000 years old? Are you truly a human being? Why aren't you in the westwood
development team and showing them how to make awesome games?).

BEV's in the mod
I feel that some additions, like Yuri's transport disk, are worthy and balance the gameplay. In the case of the Base Expansion Vehicles, I
feel that they provide a better way to create a secondary base, compared to building a brand new MCV. I don't see how it can disrupt either
the BoP or Beyond Revenge mods since all players have an equal opportunity to use them.
Keep up the fantastic work, Cannis!

what about this
The american special forces is a new unit and it's in balance of power, so why not just keep the BEV in there too, because it has no
properties; you can only build structures off it, think about that cannis!

Keep the BEV in BoP
I agree with most of the posts here; the BEV should stay in BoP. i find myself using it in pretty well every one of my skirmishes, whether in
BR or BoP, and I think its an extremely useful unit. Oh, and keep up the good work Cannis.

BEV
I say keep it. i've used it countless times. usually multiple times a game. it's extremely useful and it doesn't upset the BoP, it's just a
nice addition. I say keep it in BoP and BR. I've played with it so many times, I see no reason to take it out now.

BEV in BR
I think that they should only be built in Beyond Revenge game modes. Keeping them in Balance of Power would make for an uneven game. Think
about it, new units were added in Beyond Revenge for each country. Why add a new unit in a game mode thats not BR? I believe they should be
moved to BR and stay there.

BEV's in BoP
I think they shoul be in beyond revenge, being such a usful unit... who wants to spend 3000 credits to buy another mcv to buil somewhere else
on the map, or redeploy their (probably) only mcv to the other side of the map where it will likely be bombed to crap? Keep 'em in. Eve tho i
only really play BR (LOVE the extra units) i know how useful they can be having several lines of defene and layers of base (just like in TA :) )

remove :-O
Although most people think BEV's should be in BOP, I think it doesn't.
Playing online sometimes, I see people saying:
CR sucks, it has mini MCV's
Noob you cheat with that
And those sort of reactions, in player versus player battles, it isn't really appreciated, it's too easy to defend and make another.
In beyond revenge everything is different. There's uber units who can scrap the defence in no time, so using it here is more risky.
Last but not least, it interferes with the aim of CR, I cannot think of a reason it should be implemented because of balancing issues. If you
say yeah but what about special forces? that new technician? Well those are REPLACEMENTS. As Cannis describes, it's wacko to see an allied
engineer walking out of the destroyed MCV, but IMO, it's kind of wacko to see the BEV popping up at the undefended side of your base and
deploy a grand cannon and war factory.

Keep em!
They done nothing but good for me, esp with those Ore outposts. Harder to build a new $3000 MCV just for a ore refinery in the field... when
you can use a cheaper version for that purpose =D

CannisRabidus Aug 9

But do they belong in BoP?
The fact that the BEVs have proven to be good units isn't the point though. What mrruben5 said:
"Playing online sometimes, I see people saying:

...is a major consideration for me.

BEV's
All the BEV's have done is help expand a base. It really is mini-MCV, but to make it fair, it is still pretty expensive, and it can't
redeploy/undeploy like the normal MCV's (if you have selected the option MCV redeploy, that is). CR doesn't suck by giving a player an easier
method of expanding his base. And nobody said that you can't crack down an outpost because it was built on a BEV and not a MCV. You can't
really cheat by building a couple of outposts, can you?

BR Only
Personally, I think that the BEV should be a BR exclusive. It takes some purpose out of the game. You can cheaply pop a base anywhere on the
map. They're easy to keep defended so its harder to penetrate their defenses. It takes the AIM out of BoP, because it doesn't balance the game
at all, it just adds a unit.

BEVs
However, it's not like if you lose your base you can restart one with a BEV, as they don't give you any build options...
|
Lokey57 Aug 13

Definitely keep
The base expansion vehicles should definitely be kept, they help with base building and everyone has it. And you can tell those bastards who
call CR lousy and saying people cheat with BEV that they can screw themselves. The only time somebody can unexpectedly pop a BEV next to your
base is if you suck really bad.
|
Wrath Aug 14
|
BEV's, KEEP KEEP KEEP!
Agreed. It's not as if an expert player would allow the enemy to use a BEV to construct an outpost right beside their base! And you can't
replace the MCV with the BEV since the BEV has no build options.

Keep: Reason/Strategy
My point exactly. Only time that happens is if you grow careless, nothing else.

BEV
Yes, we should keep it that way. All sides get it anyway so it will not cause any imbalances in the game and it is a very useful tool.

BEV's Need to stay in BOP
BEV's are units that I use personally use on maps like heck freezes over. It allows you to grab ore and establish "outposts" which strengthen
your position and boost your economy. There are ways to counter BEVs, they are weak and can be destroyed by several Harriers. Also, they can't
undeploy so they arent a VERY mobile unit, once deployed they stay there. I really don't see the imbalance of BEV's because in fact they open
up a new strategy... basewalking, which is rare, but people have been known to execute this strategy well.
